Our Thanksgiving Table
It’s hard to believe that it is already Thanksgiving. We love this time of year at KT2 - gathering with friends and family and kicking off the Holidays with lots of cheer.
My favorite way to set the tone for the big event is to create an original tablescape. it is an opportunity to set the mood of your event and make the holiday you are hosting feel unique. Depending on my mood, or how busy I am, I often try to add some element of DIY. Whether it is spray painting pumpkins gold or foraging for branches that you can wrap in fabrics or yarns. Anything I can create is the most unique and unexpected part of my table.
This year my base layer is a burlap toned linen tablecloth like this one. Adding earthy olive wood chargers sets a natural vibe that I can add all sorts of elements to. This year I bought a beautiful magnolia garland that will be used down the center of my table for Thanksgiving - and will then happily transition to my mantle for Christmas. I saved the small pumpkins that were over our front door for the month of October and spray painted them gold a few days ago and will add those in clusters with the garland. Gold spray paint can be used on any natural elements like branches or pinecones. I tend to scatter extra gilded elements around the house on mantles, in bookcases, on side tables to bring it all together.
Sending you all the Happiest of Thanksgiving vibes!
